Sunday, March 18, 2001 - posted by Truzenzuzex[BC]little downtime....Thanks to RiOt[FUX] for nagging me in to checking the stats system, twice... The first time i looked everything seemed fine, however I was wrong.
I have manually update the log files from our servers, and you should see things working right.
Feel free to nag me again if you suspect problems.
Wednesday, March 14, 2001 - posted by Truzenzuzex[BC]'Invalid EXE' fix for MMclient usersMy parts finally arrived... so I will be futzing with my network again, which means the master game server, and pieces of the web site will be up and down for the next 24-36 hours... Also I expect an IP address change again... Soon as things settle down I will update web with new information as usual...
Friday, March 9, 2001 - posted by Truzenzuzex[BC]Server's Listing updatedUsing KP 1.21, possibly 'adjusted' to not need the CD? Seems to be a few versions floating around that MMclient does not like. You can grab a good 'adjusted' version by clicking on this link.
Thursday, March 8, 2001 - posted by Truzenzuzex[BC]'Invalid Model' fix and new MMclient releasedI have updated our SERVERS section to use TiCaL's new web-plugin, and added another server to the listing. Go get the plug-in, because it works on every browser I have tried.
Wednesday, March 7, 2001 - posted by Truzenzuzex[BC]KPplugin released (launch into server from web page)Truzenzuzex[BC] has created a file that contains the minimal model files for every single custom model. This package was created so that people getting "INVALID MODEL" errors when running MMCLIENT can fix the problem. This is not a complete model setup, but just enough to fix the files that the MMCLIENT is checking against for client-side hacks (aka cheating). Some models seem to have a couple versions (possibly from server downloads) -- and installing this over the top will fix the problem.. I have tested this with about a dozen people so far and once loaded their problem went away. You can grab the MM-Model-Fix package by clicking on this link. Warning it is almost 15meg in size.
Monkey Harris has updated the MMCLIENT software again, and you can grab version 4-B by clicking on this link.
We have updated our [BC] servers with the latest CDS server-side DLLs and will be testing "REQUIRED" mode once again with the new anti-cheat software, so make sure you grab the new MMCLIENT!!!
Wednesday, March 7, 2001 - posted by Truzenzuzex[BC]4 new maps loaded from MantisTiCaL has created a new plugin you can load into your browser's plugin directory. Once installed you can visit a plugin-enabled web page and see a server, and launch the game directly from the web. TiCaL wrote this since the old Q2plugin did not seem to be working for many people anymore. I have personally tested this under Win2K on IE5.01, Netscape 4.76, Netscape 6.01, and Opera 5.0. Go get it from this web site.
I will get our SERVERS section updated this week to utilize the new plugin.
Tuesday, March 6, 2001 - posted by Truzenzuzex[BC]SKIN CHECK update finalizedI wandered across some older Mantis maps I had missed, along with some newer ones he has created. The newest maps are DM conversion from the new KIT MOD I mentioned earlier this week. You can grab the four newly discovered maps from the links below:
Bank Job SE - Frag in/outside a bank KIT DM1 - KIT1 converted to DM KNP - Kut 'N Paste KIT DM2 - KIT2 converted to DM
Tuesday, March 6, 2001 - posted by Truzenzuzex[BC]Sorry for the delay, though it didn't seem to affect that many people. 90% of the custom skins in existence seem to be for Thug, Bitch, Run, however our system now fully checks against all known/approved custom models. Before today's fixes it not checking against the 4 newest models.
Feel free to create custom skins and check them via our Skin Check system before e-mailing them.
