Ganthet[BC] has wacked apart Co-Pilot's original Armagon map and produced a new bastard step child known as [BC]'s Tri-Armagon. You can find the see screenshots and grab the files from here. The map does include 4 custom WAV files to spice things up, and provide some nice dance music, so you better grab the files now, because KP servers do NOT send sound files to the clients. Extra brownie points for the first person to send me a screen shot from INSIDE the secret room (hint, lava).

Friday - 05.12.2000 - 12:00pm PST: update by Ganthet[BC]

Greets go out to our 2 newest crew members: RoyDeath[BC] (formerly CLAN *USA*), and Fakur[BC] (formerly {420} Clan, who i might add -- joined {420} not 12 hours before I was going to ask him to become [BC] -- finally, he's back). Naturally we get a lot of requests to join [BC]. At this time I would like to say that we are once again FULL. Becoming [BC] is a special trick, you play, play nice, play often, never whine, help out newbies, bring your friends along, abuse (err, play) all our servers, we get a feel for you, we like you, weeks/months go by, and boom, you get asked. We ask you, never the other way around.

As Truzenzuzex[BC] says "We are not a CLAN, we are just a CREW of players that just likes to frag and have fun. We don't play any game seriously (as in: this is our life, if i play for shit people will think i am stupid), we just play, and play A LOT. And we try to run a nice franchise of [BC] servers to promote new maps, and new skins and fun times for all."

We have switched Chuck[BC]'s server again (temporarily, maybe permanent if its popular) to [BC]'s HIGH PING SWING -- this server running the HITMEN MOD (with grappling hook support) has been setup at the request of BioHazard and other regulars, is intended for dial-up modem players only. The server is set at a minimum ping of 200, and is running a tight cycle of small/medium size maps; so drop on in and give it a whirl, see if you play any better with the extreme-LPB's eliminated from the equation. Last nights testing went well, and hopefully it will prove very popular. You lucky broadband (Cable, DSL, ISDN) users will have to stick to our other 2 servers: [BC]'s CAP-N-YO-ASS HITMEN and [BC]'s DA PLAYGROUNDZ HMG-ONLY HITMEN for now.

Rumor has it that Rat Instinct from Atrophy will have a new updated HITMEN MOD with the much anticipated/nagged-for SCORE RESUME function next week. If any of you have played on the COMPetition MOD servers you know this is a must feature for ANY server. If you get dropped, or disconnected from a server, it allows you to reconnect and RETAIN your score you had. We will keep you posted on its arrival.

MAP-PACK-N-YO-ASS (update #8) is reportedly due to go gold early next week.

[THC]Bun has revised this Hallpass map, and we will have it available on all our servers soon, and ready for download within 12 hours. The new map is aptly titled HALLPASS_V2. It is a large school, designed to give you the impression of being a little 1st grader. The map is designed a bit large in scale. Fun stuff, the newer version runs much better than his old one.

Monday - 05.01.2000 - 11:37am PST: update by Ganthet[BC]

Our fun scrimmage match against {420} last Friday turned out to be more hassle than fun due to a wide range of internet router problems. Seems like no one could get decent pings to either a {420} or [BC] server without packet loss. What little we did play was entertaining, but not what either side had envisioned. We will try again sometime later.

Speaking of matching, if anyone wants have a fun (its not an OGL or ranked match) just drop us a line and we will try and set things up. Fri/Sat/Sun seem to be the best, and we tend to match on boomstick's T-1 server for a non-Cable/DSL neutral server.

Seems our leader Truzenzuzex[BC] spent Saturday morning at the hospital passing a kidney stone instead of at the lake with the family relaxing. Yikes! That's gotta hurt. When you see him this week make sure you lay a pipe or crowbar into his left side/hip/kidney area to drive in the pain.

STATS-N-YO-ASS have been reset after racking up over 468,000 frags for the month of April! We plan on separating the stats out by server this week so that people can find themselves ranked better instead of against 2300 people (3 combined servers). The stats should be all nice and updated by Wednesday, and then we will rotate the stats EVERY week -- look for our TOP players section which we will update every week. Click on the Live Stats link at the left to see them, or use the More Stats for TheCLQ stats (which are far from accurate in comparision)

We are working on some maps, several being very grapple friendly -- or non-grapple unfriendly. Some small/medium sized maps designed with fragging and hooking. We will keep you posted.

Our Canadian server has been rebuilt and changed. It is now called: [BC]'s Hitmen-N-Hookers, naturally featuring the HitMen mod. Feel free to stop on by and check it out. We have server hooks at the top of every page in case you have forgotten.

A big welcome to Greedy[BC] who joins our group of fun loving grapple killing bastards. Greedy[BC] finally comes to us after the falling apart of the {STZ} clan who have moved on to Q3A/UT/SoF. We have fragged him since day 1 of our servers, so it's nice to have him on our side.

It seems the {420} Clan is on a map making frenzy lately, we have loaded: GH_Beta, Fragfest2, Fragfest3, and Stupid. Most of these are tight small maps, watch out for the booby-trapped Grenade rooms.

Truzenzuzex[BC] is working on cleaning up the STATS-N-YO-ASS system some more. We will be separating the stats by server, then combining them once a month for an overall stats listing. This will make running the stats engine update easier.

Truzenzuzex[BC] will be off in Washington DC for a week or more talking to Government subcomittees on how to best spend our tax dollars. I don't envy him, good luck. Freddy[BC] & Wolfman[BC] will be holding down his server while he is away.

Believe it or not, another map pack will be ready for release when he gets back.

Saturday - 04.01.2000 - 10:07pm PST: update by Truzenzuzex[BC]

We had our first "match" today against XPMB, no OGL match or such, just a recreational frag fest. Very fun stuff, we probably could have matched for several more hours if real life did not interfere. [BC] Crew versus XPMB Clan, 3 wins for us, 0 wins for them; they were close matches. You can visit XPMB's site right here.

I consider the new STATS system out of beta, though i will still be tweaking things. We are combining the stat logs between all 3 [BC] servers, so no matter what server you play on you will show up in the monster master listing. We have exceed 100,000 frags in a week of play! NOTE: The Canadian Outpost and Da Playgroundz servers will have their stats integrated into the master logs 1-2 times a day. Do NOT freak if you don't see your kills, they will show up soon enough. If i can automate the remote pulls better, I will have them updated 3-4 times a day. Stats are regenerated every hour, though this may change as the logs get bigger. I plan on running THIS set of stats through the month of April. Then reset them monthly. I will try and have a ALL TIME stats list generated every month.

I am working on the new map packs right now, its a big one!

Thursday - 03.30.2000 - 1:07am PST: update by Truzenzuzex[BC]

HitMen v1.3 has been tested and okayed from our end and Rat Instinct has given us the go-ahead to mirror the new release. They will get it on their servers very soon. The new 1.3 version includes a lot of fixes, the GSlog support, and two new client side commands. SHOWSTATS gives a running breakdown of the game, live in person, while SHOWMOTD re-displays the server's "message of the day". You can grab the download from here (498k).

Our Canadian server aptly named [BC]'s Canadian Output will be down a few days as Chuck migrates to a new house.

Soldier of Fortune is out!!! Yeah baby!!! And the [BC] crew already has a full-time server up and running. [BC]'s West Coast SoF is up and running and will be converted to the full version of SoF with 36 hours.

Monday - 03.28.2000 - 12:31am PST: update by Truzenzuzex[BC]

New ßeta HitMen servers are up on our CAP and CO servers; the grappling hook is fixed. Ghost hooking removed, hook kills count as frags, and Rat Instinct has got the stats logging for the hook also. We are working around the clock with the MOD author to beta test new versions, in order to get a releasable v1.1-C out the door.

Speaking of stats, we have LIVE detailed stats available; I am updating the stats database approximately once per hour -- eat your heart out TheCLQ! Check the ßeta Stats available at the bottom of the Nav-Bar on the left. Right now we are combining the stats between the CAP and CO servers into one master listing. I will refine the look of the stats over the next week.

Friday - 03.24.2000 - 7:20pm PST: update by Truzenzuzex[BC]

A Welcome to QueenPin[BC] who joins our crew, even though he has been wearing my (original) T-Shirt for the past 4 months. At least now the T-Shirt matches. QueenPin[BC] a young 32 year old has been fragging with us for a long ass time.

New MAP PACKS coming soon... REALLY, probably #4 and #5 -- stay tuned! Looks like about another 18 maps, almost all of them "keepers".

STATS, STATS, STATS. Very soon we will have detailed to the Nth degree statistics for our HitMen servers, updated 6-12 times PER day. Soon as I get (con, bribe, nag) Rat Instinct to make the changes stats will be available from our Genocide-HMG server also. In the meantime you can still get the polled stats from TheCLQ, though i plan on putting them out to pasture soon with our live 100% accurate stats.

More changes for HitMen coming soon. We will be BETA testing new versions. Working on getting the "ghost grapple" fixed, "grapple" kills registered, a limit on grapple "hang time" to cut down on sky-huggers (heck, that's me for sure), and other new functions. Rat Instinct is also working on a +showstats command that will give you from the player side live stats during the game. This function will be worked into both HitMen and Genocide-HMG.

The STATS section has been updated a bit, our favorite victims section is now active.

A new quick conversion map is available: [BC]'s Snow Junior can be found in our FILES section. This is just a minimized version of Gold's Slick Place, you know the crazy, wacked out ice rink map.

Our main server has been swamped so Chuck[BC] has converted his KP server into a HitMen server also. Now you have another server to abuse. Do not forget to visit boomstick[BC]'s server which is running the ever popular HMG only Genocide-HMG MOD.

New details added on how to remove the existing hook setup so that it does not interfere on Genocide, stock KP, or other MODs that do not support the grapple. Friday - 03.17.2000 - 11:56pm PST: update by Ganthet[BC]

Truzenzuzex[BC] has been at it again; [BC]'s MAP-PACK-N-YO-ASS! (Update Pack #3). -- One single (4.09MB) zip file containing 8 new maps. UPDATED: We have added new hook instructions, you will find it at the top of every page now.

Truzenzuzex[BC] has changed the grappling hook settings on our master HitMen server. Vampire mode is now active; this means you can hook other players, and the longer you stay attached the more damage they take. It is about 2 points per second which you drain from the victim, and you gain the same amount of health. Of course most people are not silly enough to stand still, but it sure is a lot of fun.

The STATS page has been updated slightly. Stats for our HitMen servers are active!

Truzenzuzex[BC] has just published the RCON ADMIN GUIDE, which can be found in our FILES section, under the SERVER section. Very handy if you try and remote admin your KP server.

We have just added additional commands for the HitMen grappling hook, provided by Rat Instinct of Atrophy. These are server-side/rcon based functions. Expect to see the new functions in use on our server tonight. The HOOKING GUIDE is in the FILES section also.

The GODfather 1.1 MOD has been updated. You can get it directly from here, at least until they get it mirrored elsewhere.
- Changes to scoreboard to reflect players' levels.
- Changes to scoreboard on game-end to display who is the godfather.
- Changes to on-screen display to show how far you have to go to next level.
- New key bind (optional) "showtable" to see game information.
- Improved and snazzy MOTD.
- Changes to respawn protection so that if you pick up a weapon while you have spawn protection, your protection automatically runs out.

A big welcome to freelobotomy[BC] who joins our crew. freelobotomy[BC] is one of our seniors (age-wise) coming in at 38 years. This lucky bastard is already retired after putting in 20 years in the newspaper business, must be nice! Welcome him to the crew by kindly kicking his ass this weekend!

Not much to report. I do have some tips on launching KP from our web page, HitMen grappling tricks, and other odd-ball tips coming soon. If you hadn't noticed I have become a newshound for PoisonVille, which means A LOT of my reports that normally would be here will be there instead. However, this site will continue to feed pertinent items as needed. So don't go anywhere.

Would like to extend some grappling greets out to amajon, freelobotomy, KingsBitch, and too many others to mention. I may be the most grappling bitch you ever seen, but these people are starting to challenge my ass. We all seem to be very fond of DocDidi's SHIP map; very simple map with a big boat, a dock, and some warehouse buildings. But it has some serious open sky, and man can we get to a swinging!

The MAP list on our main server has been fixed, wish someone had emailed earlier. Been broke 3 days, stuck in a loop on the same 5 maps... good ones, but still only 5. The list is fixed and our "creap of the crop" list is back to its normal 45 (of the 237 maps we have).

Stats. Oh yeah. I have NOT forgot. I just reset my master log (26 meg) which was crashing AEstats. I will run some stats this weekend and see how they turn out. Once I fine tune AEstats a bit, i will do weekly runs. Who will out rank who? Come and see.

A big welcome to FALLEN_TALON[BC] who joins our crew, or as he says "About freakin' time!". Also a reminder that MrsChuck[BC] now plays under the name Sassy[BC]; don't ask, just remember this little hot mama still kicks your ass! Lame_Boy[BC], another one of Freddy[BC]'s kids has joined our crew, and has been fragging up the place quite a bit.

A few new maps have been found and loaded in the last 2 weeks, expect [BC]'s MAP-PACK-N-YO-ASS! (Update Pack #2) to arrive within the next week.

boomstick[BC] is back from his European vacation, and has moved his server to a slightly different IP address. As always you can found our server IPs from the SERVER menu or the TOP of every page, or via GameSpy.

Wondering where Truzenzuzex[BC] has been lately? Well he is alive, although 5 relatives (in-laws, and extended family) have died in the last 2 weeks. Truzenzuzex[BC] has a sprained right wrist (his mouse hand) or carpal tunnel is starting to do its nasty damage (23 years of typing on computers may be a clue). He is wearing a brace, but usually after putting in his 8 hours at his job he doesn't feel much like playing to long. He does pop in now and then, especially when a new map is out. Expect to see him back more as the weeks progress.

We are thinking about setting up a 2-on-2 or 3-on-3 match server sometime in the future. If we do, we will add it to the server list and let everyone know.

Reminder: We are NOT flying or cheating on the main [BC] CAP-N-YO-ASS server -- we have the grappling hook loaded - utilized by the HitMen MOD. See the 02/07/2000 news item for how to install this HitMen MOD item on your local installation of Kingpin. Grapple on bitch!

Monday - 02.07.2000 - 5:00pm PST: update by Chuck[BC]

Having trouble getting that grappling hook to work??? Cut and paste these 3 lines from the hook.cfg file.

bind SHIFT +hook
bind w +grow
bind e +shrink

into your autoexec.cfg file located in the Kingpin\main folder. Next put the Pak file in the Hitmen folder (normally c:\program files\kingpin\hitmen\).

If you've played the HitMen MOD you got the folder already, now log on to the [BC] server running Hitmen and when you enter the game bring up the console and type exec hook.cfg

That's it, you're ready to be hanging from the rafters.

Our website's face-lift seems to be complete now. Things are very nice and tidy once again. Take a stroll around, send us some hate-mail.

Ooops. We goofed, corrected info: boomstick[BC]'s server: "Da PlayGroundz!" will be shutting down temporarily from Sat.Jan-29 thru Wed.Feb-16 while he takes a vacation in Europe. Hopefully when he gets back we will have the new MODs configured and waiting.

Truzenzuzex[BC] has stopped testing the Loaded MOD due to daily crashing (divide by 0 GPF) and it does not work at all with the BW-ADMIN anti-bot/cheat plugin (constant overflow messages). So back he goes to the GODfather MOD.

We are saving our gaming logs and playing with AEstats, hope to see "some" kind of stats updated daily/weekly very soon.

The TIPS section has been slightly updated with some trade secrets and undocumented console commands.

 Wednesday - 01.26.2000 - 1:30pm EST: update by Ganthet[BC] 

Website is undergoing some slight abuse; expect some broken pages for a few days. Many thanks to Headstone for helping get things laid out; his site can be found here. The new layout uses friendly frames, along with even deeper use of CSS. Seems to be working just fine under IE5 and NS4.7; please report any strange problems if things are really displaying wacky.

Work has already begun on MAP-PACK update #2. We will try and keep the pack sizes under 10MB from now on. A lot of people have been complaining, and so have I, about trouble downloading the packs. The PV-MA server is currently being overhauled which is causing serious slowness. We are trying to get PlanetKingpin to mirror the files; once they do I will let everyone know.

By popular demand, and sheer volume... We present: [BC]'s MAP-PACK-N-YO-ASS! (Update Pack #1) -- One single (11.6MB) zip file containing 17 new maps. The included maps are: badmonks_place2, 187TROUBLE, junobay, corprateHQ, ctb_housesfix2, dd23, eviltown, kpbattleship, kpdm10, Q2maingateKP, mayhem, q2mintrokp, Play13, team_havoc, the_hidden_confinement_u2, uwl_bloodbath, uwl_hell.

Grab'em, as usual from: Map-Packs -- of special note are Tanya's Q2 conversions (maingate, and mine intro) along with AG's EvilTown -- slick shit.

[BC]'s CAP-N-YO-ASS server changed its internet IP address. We are now living at 24.31.255.25, and this week we are testing the new LOADED mod v0.37.

If you have not grabbed [BC]'s MAP-PACK-N-YO-ASS yet you can get the files here PoisonVille-Map Archives. Getting the maps before hand will save you a lot of time waiting and the other players a lot of lag. It's only a matter of time before map downloading from the game servers are turned off.

 Saturday - 01.15.2000 - 7:25pm CST: update by Truzenzuzex[BC] 

[BC]'s MAP-PACK-N-YO-ASS seems to be a success so far, lots of positive feedback from admins and players for the work we did. Also some new maps have popped up naturally, and we will get them uploaded to PV-MA when time permits, and eventually create a supplemental PACK update.

Some of the new/found maps this weekend are are: Q2maingateKP (excellent!) and Mayhem both by 420TanyaCheex. Also located are: Junobay, 187Trouble and UWL_Hell. Remember, if you have a map in your stash that somehow is not in our monster pack (see FILES section), then point us to it.

A reminder to players: CAMPING is severely frowned upon (except with the KingOfTheHill map)... and CHEATING or using AIM-BOTS is 100% illegal. We are loading BW-ADMIN anti-cheat/anti-bot protection onto our servers today. Repeat offenders who are trying to cheat the system will be IP/Nick banned across all [BC] servers. We are also setting a LOW PING limit of 60, which as a side-effect prevents me from playing on my own server; come find me on [BC]'s DA PLAYGROUNDZ!. If you feel a LOW PING limit of 60 is TOO low, then drop us some email stating why. We have two servers in different parts of the USA, and I doubt a LPB would be locked out of both servers.

Some thought has been given to designating one server for HPBs and the other for LPBs, whatta think??

Final thought for today: "Stop BITCHING about lag!"
80% of the time lag is being caused by people downloading the maps, or skins from the server. Take the time to grab the MAP and SKIN packs, then join our servers. You will be happy in the large amount of time saved, along with getting all the bonus sounds, and sky textures that the server won't allow you to download. Eventually we may become hard-ass's and turn off map downloads and force everyone to grab the maps from the web before allowing you to play. And if you can run a better, lag-free server with more bandwidth, go for it...

 Friday - 01.14.2000 - 1:17am CST: update by Truzenzuzex[BC] 

You guessed it... the map pack to destroy and conquer all previous attempts at collecting Kingpin maps has arrived!

[BC]'s MAP-PACK-N-YO-ASS is now available for game players and server admins to download. No server admin has ANY excuse to NOT run at least some custom maps now. The package contains 198 maps in excess of 338MB uncompressed. The packing list is here , and the files can be downloaded from the PoisonVille-Map Archives. I have broken the files into (10) 12.5MB chunks which can downloaded and installed as you go... unlike other traditional map packs, you don't have to get all the chunks before you can even start working. Now that I have taken all the time to build this compilation it should be relatively easy for us to release "update" packs in the future.

Whatta still reading this for? Go grab your files! And then come visit a [BC] server near you, we have them up and running at all times.

Map authors: Is your map missing? How is that possible? Check the list, if you have a DM/BM map not listed, drop us a note and we will get it uploaded in the individual map directory and include it in the next map pack update.

The FILES section has been updated with our latest custom MOD setup files, which may come in handy for the budding Kingpin server admin. I have also housecleaned the LINKS section slightly.

A huge welcome to boomstick[BC] the newest member of the crew, and the owner of [BC]'s Da Playgroundz! server. When we have team play available in the future, I'm sure glad to be fighting along side rather than against this guy.

We have added a new [BC] server (capable of 16+ players) running @ 208.167.189.60 (visit the top of this page for all game server ip addresses) and we need some HEAVY testing done on this baby between the hours of 5pm-6am CST. If your a regular [BC] player please let us know what you think. How does it compare to the old master server etcetera, and if you just blew in, give the server a try and let us know what you think. As you are all probably aware [BC] servers are running with the new Godfathers V1.00 mod, and like some of you guys when I logged on and started playing, 125 health, people glowing red, and what seemed like unlimited machine gun ammo, I thought what the hell is this. So here is the scoop on the new mod. Instead of a point for each kill you now get experience points, and the more you kill the more experience you recieve and you rise in status. ie: Recruit, Look-out,Thug and so on. Everything goes pretty well until you hit level 4 a Hitman, then getting killed is gonna cost you when you die you lose experience points based on the difference between you and your killer's experience modifier. e.g. a Level 6 player killed by a Level 4 player (75 exp vs 40 exp = 35 difference) - the killer would gain 75 for killing you and you would lose 35 for being killed. A level 4 player killed by a level 2 player (40 exp vs 15 exp = 25 difference) - the killer would gain 40 for killing you and you would lose 25 for being killed. The red glow on a player is spawn protection for the lower level players meaning they cant be killed for a couple of seconds by the higher level players. And I as you rise in rank and experience you are able to have more health and ammo, It took a couple games and a little bitching but this mod is a lot of fun. We do hope to get STATISTICS going again, maybe utilizing the AEStats software. When we get things running, all [BC] servers will pool their stats into a master listing, along with each server having separate details.

Thursday - 01.07.2000 - 08:00am PST - update by Chuck[BC] and Truzenzuzex[BC]

I finally got a chance to go over some new maps running on the [BC] server and this is what I've come up with.

tc_05:This map is the perfect size, the graphics are good, ample supply of weapons, and a nice layout for running around killing each other....HMG is hidden in a locker in a classroom

Hallpass:This is a big wide open map good for long range fire fights, the graphics are good and the map is well lite. HMG is in the pool and in one of the offices. Note: the props seem out of scale to the player.

reflections2:plenty of room, good layout, ample weapons, and some real cool looking graphics.

kpsoccer:Ya fight on and in the hallways of a soccer stadium, lots of weapons and health, this map was fun but i tired of it quickly.

team_brooklyn:One word discribes this map..BIG.. There is a good supply of weapons, and the graphics look great. This map could easily hold 20 to 30 players, the only problem one spawn point for deathmatch though :(

typhoon:A no frills in you face shooten up map, lots of fun.

trainstation:This map was my favorite. Very good looking, lots of weapons, plenty of room to fight, and a moving train to watch out for.

The MALE_SAS skin is currently incomplete and unstable as it stands and will sometimes cause clients to crash. If you have this file do find on "MALE_SAS" and delete it from your KingPin directory, OR do not use the model when play on non-SW mod servers. The SAS model according to the authors is ONLY for the KP/StreetWars mod... I disagree, but what do i know. It WILL cause player/clients to crash as we tested it extensively on our server.

If you want to be seen you have to e-mail in your skins to be put on the server.

We are currently running PigWhistler's cool Godfather MOD v0.95pt#2 -- We should re-label MOD as "Hard Ass Hell" -- You ever tried playing ARMAGON with most players running around as Crime-Lord level 6??? Fun shit, but hard as hell.
